Rana Daggubati’s throwback pic with Prabhas is too cute to handle

The two handsome hunks share a beautiful bond off-screen and Rana’s latest throwback pic testifies the same.

They may have played arch rivals and warring brothers in SS Rajamouli’s two-part magnum opus Baahubali but in real life Rana Daggubati and Prabhas are best friends. The two handsome hunks share a beautiful bond off-screen and Rana’s latest throwback pic testifies the same.

Check it out here: “What fun we had in between all the madness..every day of filming this epic was memorable!! Miss being in the great kingdom of Mahishmati!!”

Rana had essayed the role of Bhallaladeva, who is jealous of his cousin Amarendra Baahubali’s (played by Prabhas) popularity among the masses. Bhallaladeva (theoretically the rightful heir to the kingdom of Mahishmati) wishes the deceitfully eliminate Baahubali in order to occupy the throne.

In the second part of the film, Baahubali’s son – Mahendra/ Shivudu (also played by Prabhas) returns to Mahishmati to avenge the killing of his father. Both Prabhas and Rana had sported a beefed up look to play their parts to utmost perfection.

As Bhallaladeva and Baahubali, Rana and Prabhas justified their enmity on screen but their real life bond gives us friendship goals. Baahubali: The Beginning saw Prabhas romancing Tamannaah Bhatia while in Baahubali: The Conclusion, he was paired opposite Anushka Shetty.

The blockbuster film, which set the cash registers ringing worldwide, also starred Ramya Krishnan (as Shivagami Devi), Sathyaraj (as Kattappa) and Nasser (as Bijjaladeva). Baahubali: The Conclusion went on to become the first Indian movie to cross the Rs 1700 crore mark at the Box Office.

Prabhas says, 'Still Struggling To Handle Stardom'.

"After being in the industry for 13-14 years now, I still don't know how to handle stardom. My fans feel bad that their hero doesn't come out so much. I'm better than before, and trying to improve," said Prabhas

Actor Prabhas, who became entitled to the perks of being a superstar after the mega success of Baahubali, actually shies away from the all attention. In an interview with news agency IANS, the 37-year-old actor said that he's working on it. "After being in the industry for 13-14 years now, I still don't know how to handle stardom. My fans feel bad that their hero doesn't come out so much. I'm better than before, and trying to improve."

Prabhas, who makes very few public appearances, added in his interview: "I am still shy when I go to interviews. I want a lot of people to come and watch my film but I can't face (that many) people." Prabhas also revisited memories from when he was yet to make his acting debut - the idea of joining cinema seemed sort of "impossible" to Prabhas. "My uncle is an actor, my dad is a producer, so they asked me if I was interested, and I was like 'How can someone act in front of so many people with lights and emote'. I used to feel shy... My parents asked me once or twice and I said that it is impossible," he told IANS.

Prabhas is the son of well-known Telugu producer Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju and is the nephew of filmmaker Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. Prabhas joined the Telugu film industry with 2002's Eeshwar. If not an actor, Prabhas would have been in the food business and that's because - "I had thought I will do some business because I am lazy and I can't do jobs. I had thought that maybe I will go into hotel business because our family loves food. And north Indian food is very famous in Hyderabad."

Then what really made him consider acting as a career option? "This is what I remember, (though I) actually don't know what happened inside my mind. One day I was watching my uncle's film directed by Bapu. I imagined myself in my uncle's character... Then I think it slowly started somewhere," IANS quoted Prabhas as saying.

Prabhas has Telugu movies like Raghavendra, Mr. Perfect, Chatrapathi and Chakram on his resume, but is best known for playing the protagonist in S S Rajamouli's Baahubali series of films. The second part of Baahubali released this year to recreate box office history - with the director assigning majority of the credit to Prabhas.

Prabhas will next be seen in action-thriller Saaho, which will also release in Hindi and Tamil apart from Telugu. Directed by Sujeeth, Prabhas co-stars with Shraddha Kapoor in Saaho, which is expected to arrive in theatres next year.

Early start for Prabhas’ next

It’s well-known that Prabhas will be teaming up with Jil director Radhakrishna Kumar for his next film. After a long time, Prabhas will once again be seen as a lover boy in this as-yet-untitled romantic entertainer. This film is rumored to have a period backdrop. Currently, the script work is going on in full swing for this exciting project.

In his latest media interaction, Radhakrishna Kumar revealed that the film will go on floors in January or February next year, contrary to the reports that the shooting will begin from mid-2018. Prabhas will shoot for his ongoing action thriller, Saaho, and Radhakrishna Kumar’s film simultaneously. More details regarding the film’s other major cast and crew are awaited.

Prabhas wants to do Indian films based on scripts with a universal appeal

Actor Prabhas, who became a household name across India with the two Baahubali movies, says that he might accept an offer from Bollywood after wrapping up the big-ticket Saaho.

There’s speculation about Telugu film actor Prabhas soon making his Bollywood debut — the smash hit Baahubali films, in which he played the lead, weren’t strictly Bollywood, though the Hindi versions gave the films an all-India audience. However, Prabhas says there’s still time. He plans to first finish his cinema projects in south India, especially the big-ticket trilingual action film, Saaho, co-starring Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor.

“I might do a Bollywood film. I’ve been [getting] some good offers,” says Prabhas. “But I’ll first need to finish Saaho, and a beautiful love story (that he has signed). The film is set in Europe of the 1960s-70s. We’re planning to wrap them up by June-July next year. After that, I’ll take up a Bollywood film.”

The actor says that more than the language of a film, what interests him are stories with a universal appeal. Such stories, much like Baahubali, have the potential to do well all over India, and in overseas markets, feels Prabhas.

“I want to do Indian films based on scripts with a universal appeal,” says Prabhas. “The way Baahubali has connected with people all over India… it has given us recognition all over the country. It’s a humbling experience. I’m thankful to the entire team. [Filmmaker] SS Rajamouli’s vision worked. His magic worked and something really great happened. We all are going to remember it for the rest of our lives, and that’s beautiful.”

Given his popularity now in India and abroad, would the next step be an international film? Prabhas says, “I’ve never thought about doing international films. But if I get something exciting, I might take it up. Everything depends on what comes my way. Baahubali gave me something that’s really huge. So, as of now, I want to do Indian films.”

Shraddha Kapoor surprised Prabhas on Saaho’s sets

If Prabhas laid out a lavish spread for Shraddha Kapoor on her first day at Saaho sets, the Bollywood actor too had a surprise in store for Telugu cinema’s darling. Know it here.

The buzz around Prabhas’s next film is very high. The film has been in news since the day it was announced. The latest was about a lavish spread Prabhas and the team had laid out for Shraddha on the first day of the shoot. The Bollywood actor was pleasantly surprised, it was reported.

Now, it has come to light that she too has a surprise in store for the Baahubali star. According to a report in DNA, the Haseena actor binge watched all the previous films of Prabhas and surprised him with her know-how about his movies. That certainly must have come as a pleasant surprise for Prabhas too. Nice way of bonding between the stars, we’d say.

Saaho is said to be an action-packed thriller, directed by Sujeeth Reddy. The makers say that viewers will see a very different Prabhas in the film. This should be true particularly for the pan-India audience, who ‘discovered’ him with Baahubali. Shraddha, on her part, made an entry into the team after much consideration.

It was speculated that the sweetheart of Telugu films, Anushka Shetty, would feature as Prabhas’ love interest. However, given her prior commitment to a big Tamil film, the actress could not give her dates for Saaho. Shraddha was zeroed much later. Her remuneration too was a topic of discussion as she came on-board after a deal of Rs 5 crore was agreed upon.
