Gionee India ropes in Prabhas as its brand ambassador

Gionee India on Monday announced the onboarding of Prabhas as its brand ambassador. This news comes as a big announcement considering Prabhas has earned nationwide recognition and popularity post the release of the blockbuster hit ‘Bahubali: The Conclusion’. 

Gionee’s current associations include Virat Kohli, Alia Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan, Diljit Dosanjh and Shruti Hassan. The smartphone giant has also been the principal sponsor for ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ in the Indian Premiere League for the last three years. 

Taking its association with the biggest cricket extravaganza forward, Gionee also bagged jersey sponsorship for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season, hence becoming the first brand ever to bag the jersey sponsorship for two IPL teams in the same edition. 

Speaking on the announcement, Arvind R Vohra, Country CEO & MD, Gionee India, said, “We are extremely proud to announce our association with the mighty Prabhas. He is one the most loved and respected personalities in the country today and has earned this recognition based on his flawless and strong performance. At Gionee, we believe in providing our customers with the similar values embedded in our devices. Within five years of establishing operations in India, Gionee has secured a patron base of 1.25 crore in India. The company is betting big on Selfie and Battery as the winning proposition for the Indian customers and with the catchy peppy number Selfiestan to back the brand, Gionee is all set to penetrate further into the country.

Baahubali 2 36th Day Total Collection

Box Office: Baahubali 2 36th Day Total Collection, Enters in 6th Weekend on a Steady Note

36 Days Total Collection of Baahubali 2 (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam): 
After completing 5 weeks of release, the magnum opus Baahubali 2 has entered in it’s 6th week on an almost steady note. SS Rajamouli’s directorial this epic action drama reported impressive performance throughout so far and still not ready to take a break.

On it’s 36th day of release, Baahubali 2 recorded almost 30% of drop and minted an amount of 1.60 crore, that included 0.75 crores from Hindi screens and 0.85 crore combined from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam screens. 

With this, domestic total of the movie has become 1008.70 crores (Hindi 501.93cr | TTM 506.77cr). In last 5 weeks, second installment from the franchise Baahubali performed outstandingly and dominated all the movies came in it’s way. 

Breaking all previous box office records of Indian cinema, Baahubali 2 garnered the business of 1007.10 crores nett, that included 534 crores of week-1, 266 crores of week-2, 128 crores of week-3, 55 crores of week-4 and 24.10 crores of week-5. 

At worldwide box office, Baahubali 2 has now slipped to the second position after the magnificent run of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in China. Although Prabhas starrer is yet to release there but so far Dangal is on the top position with a difference of over 100 crores.

Baahubali 2 All Versions Moving Towards 1700 Worldwide

S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has crossed the 1600 crore mark at the box office in all versions. 

So far, Baahubali 2 has grossed 1345 crores (nett. 1043 crores) in India including all versions and around 307 crores at the overseas box office. It currently stands with a global total of 1600 crores. 

Baahubali 2‘s Hindi version itself has netted around 502.25 crores at the domestic market.

Baahubali 2 is all set to hit the screens in China in July. Speaking about the release, Kishore Kedari of Arka Media Works said, “It will be the next Indian film after Dangal to release in China, and we are excited about its possibilities. Dangal has done record business in China and its exemplary response has upped the quotient for Indian films.”

Baahubali 2 crosses Rs 500 cr mark; here’s the complete list of its records

It has been over a month since SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' released and the movie is still making a new record of one kind or the other.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion collection: It has been over a month since SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ released and the movie is still making a new record of one kind or the other, leaving behind what seems like an insurmountable challenge for others in the future. 

The film was a much-awaited release of 2017, as its first part ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, released in 2015, had quite an impact on the movie-going public. It was the result of this, that the people flocked to theaters after the sequel released. 

With its grand sets, a strong script and spellbinding acting of the star cast including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and others, the film succeeded both in the South as well as Hindi markets. The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 has also set massive box office collection records. 

The film has crossed the huge Rs 500 crore mark after 34 days of its release in India. Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh, on Thursday, shared the box office collection of the film on his Twitter account. According to him, the Hindi (dubbed) version of the film has earned Rs 500.13 crore till Wednesday.

The movie was released on April 28. Since then, it is doing exceptionally well in theaters and is maintaining box office collections in crores. It is clear from its box office collection that says the movie has earned Rs 1.56 crore, Rs 2.25 crore, Rs 3.16 crore, Rs 1.34 crore, Rs 1.22 crore and Rs 1.20 crore from last Friday to Wednesday, shared Adarsh. 

Adarsh shared the complete records of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2, in terms of its box office collection. According to which, the movie has crossed massive Rs 100 crore mark within just three days of its release, while it took three more days to double the figure and crossed the Rs 200 crore mark. After day 10 of its release, the movie had successfully touched and crossed the Rs 300 crore milestone. 

However, the movie did not slow down even after that and took just 15 days to go beyond the box office collection of Rs 400 crore. Till day 20, the collection reached Rs 450 crore and it was more than Rs 475 crore after 24 days of its release.
